Experience Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley
A day filled with great whales, fine wines and the highest tides.
The powerful ebb and flow of the Bay of Fundy tides dramatically alter the coastline. From Windsor, through the coastal areas of the lush Annapolis Valley, down to the tip of Brier Island, the Bay of Fundy paints a different landscape every day. Picture a fleet of fishing boats at Hall's Harbour sitting on the muddy ocean floor. Six hours later, those same boats are floating at the wharf's high tide mark. From tidal bore rafting to the thrill of whale watching at Brier Island to enjoying the tasty 'catch of the day', there are numerous ways to experience this astonishing natural phenomenon. During Digby Scallop Days, an annual 'must-attend' event, the town's famous fleet is celebrated for the delicious seafood it ships around the world. Another 'must attend' event is the annual Pumpkin Regatta held in Windsor where contestants race giant pumpkins across lake Piziquid.
